Casne Engineering provided electrical engineering services for this new design-build, three-story hotel and casino. The hotel rooms were modular, prefabricated, and shipped to the site fully assembled with lighting and receptacles per Casne Engineering’s specifications.

Casne Engineering furnished design drawings and specifications for the new 4000A main service and building electrical distribution system including transformers and panel boards. The building also featured a new 500kW diesel generator and automatic transfer switches to provide emergency power for the required life safety systems and auxiliary power to the casino areas during extended power outages. The fire alarm system was designed to meet all local, state, and national fire codes and involved smoke detectors, sprinkler flow monitoring, manual pull stations, horn/strobe voice evacuation amplifiers, and speakers.

Casne Engineering served as the contractor’s engineer on a series of tenant improvement projects that were completed using the design-build project delivery method. We completed the electrical design for the Endoscopy, Gastroenterology, and Surgery Suites at Overlake Medical Office Building at Overlake Hospital.

We provided our client with design drawings, which included power plans, lighting plans, single-line diagrams, panel board schedules, load calculations, and lighting budget calculations. Load calculations required close coordination with the design engineers responsible for the shell and core design phase of the facility. Our design documents were used by the contractor as construction documents and to expedite the building permitting process.
