KENT SPACE CENTER POWER MONITORING SYSTEM
BOEING COMPANY; KENT, WASHINGTON
Casne Engineering developed an electrical monitoring and management system (EMMS) for the Boeing Space and Defense Group in Kent, WA. The EMMS is used to provide an accounting of power consumption, reconcile and verify utility charges, manage demand, and monitor power quality. The PC-based graphical user interface (GUI) uses Intellution's FIX Dynamics SCADA software package. Overall site plans include individual plan views of each building, substation elevations, one-line diagrams, faceplate displays for each device, historical trend displays, and an alarm summary. Two PC-based SCADA servers communicate via TCP/IP over a fiber optic-based Ethernet network. Each of the SCADA servers is networked to power meters, monitors, and building management equipment using Cutler-Hammer's INCOM network protocol. Other devices are networked to the SCADA system using the MODBUS PLUS protocol.

PAINT HANGAR CONTROL SYSTEM UPGRADE
BOEING COMPANY; SEATTLE, WASHINGTON
Casne Engineering provided the control system design and software engineering for the upgrade of the Boeing 3-369 Paint Hangar. A PLC control system and a PC-based HMI SCADA system was designed for controlling the air handling and temperature control subsystems. In addition, Casne Engineering provided engineering services for construction assistance, start-up and commissioning, and operator training.


HYDRAULIC POWER SYSTEM LAB PLC UPGRADE
BOEING COMPANY; SEATTLE, WASHINGTON
Casne Engineering provided the design and programming for a PLC control system used to monitor and control eight hydraulic power units. These units supply hydraulic power to 26 hydraulic fatigue test frames. To monitor real-time process and provide automatic control of the hydraulic power system, an Allen-Bradley PLC-5 and PC-based Wonderware HMI software system was developed.

INDUSTRIAL WASTEWATER TREATMENT FACILITY
BURLINGTON NORTHERN AND SANTA FE RAILWAY COMPANY; CLOVIS, NEW MEXICO
Casne Engineering served as electrical power and control system engineers for BNSF’s industrial wastewater improvements. This project is ongoing. Casne is administrating the electrical construction through commissioning. Project scope includes bid request, bid evaluation, project scheduling, installation coordination, and project budget management.


INTERBAY INDUSTRIAL WASTEWATER IMPROVEMENTS
BURLINGTON NORTHERN AND SANTA FE RAILWAY COMPANY; SEATTLE, WASHINGTON
Casne Engineering served as electrical power and control system engineers for the headworks Interbay industrial wastewater improvements. This project is ongoing. Casne is administrating the electrical construction through commissioning. Project scope includes bid request, bid evaluation, project scheduling, installation coordination, and project budget management. Casne is commissioning the project by verifying all system response for any given input.
